By Bus

There are routes to Corfu made by buses and start from Igoumenitsa, Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Larisa, Ioannina and other major cities.

Water Transportation

There are daily flights from Igoumenitsa’s port to Corfu starting from 6 am until 10 pm. If you take the open ferry boat the trip lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and if you take the closed ferry boat the trip lasts 1 hour and 10 minutes. There are ferries departing from Patras’ port going to Italy and have a stopover in Corfu. But also ferries from Italy (Bari, Ancona, Brindezi) stop in Corfu before arriving in Patras. Ferries to CORFU Greece
Corfu island is well - connected to mainland Greece with frequent sailings to Igoumenitsa, Patras and Pireaus and also to the Italian ports of Bari, Brindisi and Ancona.From Igoumenitsa the ferry-boats sail daily from 6.00 - 22.00 hrs. The open type of ferry - boats cover the distance to Corfu harbour in 1 hour 45 mins, the larger closed ferry - boats in 1 hour. During the summer period sailings are more frequent and there is a departure from Igoumenitsa every 15 mins.

For visitors to the south of Corfu there is a faster route connecting Igoumenitsa to the harbour of Lefkimi (1 hour). From Patras there are sailings each evening between 21.00 - 24.00 hrs bound for Italy which put into Corfu in the early morning hours for embarkation. From Italy the same boats stop in Corfu before going on to Patras.

The airport ("Ioannis Kapodistrias" airport) is about 2 km away from Corfu town. There are daily flights to and from Athens and from Thessaloniki and other Ionian Islands. In addition there are direct Charter flights to many European cities. More information (Airport: 26610 30180).
